Welcome, followers!

I suppose before anyone decides to "follow" a blog, they'll want to know what said blog entails.  Perhaps a bit of background on the blogger and the need to start a blog would be a nice starting point....

I am 27 years old and I am a paramedic.  Being a paramedic has pretty much always been my "dream job."  I have to say, however, there have been more than a few moments where I've thought, "THAT wasn't in the textbook."  Whether it be things my patients have done or said, interactions with hospitals or even co workers, there is rarely a dull moment.  One of these "non-dull moments" came during the summer of 2008 when I met my future husband, Cody, on a call we ran together. (He works in law enforcement.)  I ended up finding him on a social networking site (as swapping numbers on scene would be unprofessional) where we began e-mailing.  This soon turned into phone conversations which soon turned into "The First Date."  Through dating and spending hours on end with each other, we decided August 29, 2009 would be the perfect wedding date.  And so it was.  We married and began the most perfect story of our lives.  This perfection was only magnified on Sunday, January 10, 2010 when we learned we would be expecting a baby, a boy in fact who was due September 21.  Preparations were made, doctor's appointments were had, and on September 8, 2010 at 10:55AM, Cooper Keith was born.  The love that blossomed between the three of us has been more than I could have ever imagined.  However, that, coupled with the trials and tribulations of a paramedic mom and a law enforcement dad have brought about a new and unconventional set of challenges.  And here is where our story begins.....
